So, you’ve chosen to align yourself with the power and intellect of Lex Luthor? An interesting choice, and likely a profitable one if you play your cards right. Now that you’re off Brainiac’s ship, let’s get to work, shall we? We’re not going to get anything done spending our time lounging around in Club L’Excellence (aka, the Little Bohemia Nightclub).
Power Girl is holding a rally for meta-powered humans at Metropolis University. But that’s not our primary concern right now. There’s a mutagen made from Parasite’s DNA that the science board doesn’t feel is ready for human testing. Well, what do they know. Lex wants YOU to retrieve it from the van near the University.
After exiting the safehouse, follow your minimap to the East. This will lead you to the right spot on campus where the van containing the mutagen is parked. Once it’s in your possession, Lex wants you to begin testing it out on the student body. There are a few rookie cops wandering around the area; keep an eye on them. They may try to disrupt your mission.
Head to the South side of the heart of the University to free the mutated students that the police have managed to get their hands on. This may include bashing in a few skulls…and windows… but you’re up for it, right? Keep an eye out for the Sigmas. They pack the punch of ten* Rookie cops!
*estimate based on how far one knocked us up the street. Seriously, keep an eye out.
If you’re also willing to stuff your pockets with a few extra rewards, seek out Agent Diligence for the side mission, Mutation 101.
Mutation 101 asks you to infect the meta-powered students with the pathogen to see if they react differently to it than the regular students. This side mission can be tracked and completed alongside Cram Session. There are other side missions available throughout this starter mission, but we’re not going to call them out in this guide. You’re a smart kid. You can figure it out.
After all our hard work, the Metropolis Police is going to send scientists out to reverse it? No, no. We cannot let that happen. Figure out a way to impersonate the scientists to prevent them from using their “cure” on the students you’ve infected thus far.
Once you’ve impersonated the scientists, head back to the other side of campus to free the Parasite Clones the police have managed to hold in containment. There are even more Science Police Sigmas in this area; you’ll have to defeat them as well.
Parasite has Power Girl trapped in the library. Lex Luthor wants to get his hands on a DNA sample. Head in to the library to assist in this plan.
In order to drain the force-field, Parasite needs energy. Seek out the students that are hiding in the library to infect them with the mutagen (you’re getting pretty good at that by now, aren’t you?). There are some in the Office and the Lab as well.
Once you’ve converted enough of the meta-powered humans, the force-field will weaken allowing you and Parasite inside. Now, now, don’t get too cocky. You can’t just take on Power Girl right away. You’ll have to convert her assembled students and get them on your side before she’ll be weak enough for you to take on.
With help from Parasite and the leeches, you defeat Power Girl and fetch the DNA sample for Lex Luthor!
It’s time to head back to Club L’Excellence (the Little Bohemia Nightclub) to meet with Parasite and wrap up this part of Luthor’s schemes. Now that you’ve impressed the boss, he’s got another mission for you, if you’re willing.
